Have you seen this story about Nadine Haobash who lost her job after her blog became public? That’s just wild-especially since the job was with a magazine. I have heard several people say that they have cancelled their subscriptions to 17 magazine, which rescinded Nadine’s job offer after her blog became public.
You can see an interview at it on MSNBC.
The thing that’s funny to me is that 17 has it’s own little black book gossip section, that lets you guess which stars did certain things-and yet they won’t let her work for them because she wrote a public blog about the industry.

Interesting, I just received email notification that my zappo’s order had been upgraded to one day shipping. Now this is very exciting since I have already gotten the shoes, and since I accidentally requested that they mail me the return slip, they’ve already mailed that to me and I finally sent them back yesterday. The email was dated July 24, and I literally just got it. I also just got the order comfirmation at the same time. Odd. In addition to this I just got the notification that the email I sent on July 25th was received, and that it should be answered within 4 hours. Of course, I got that more than 4 hours ago, and I still haven’t recieved a response. Not that it matters since I already shipped the shoes back.
Interesting. I like zappo’s but it is wierd that it took them so long to send me the emails. And the guy treated me like I was dumb when I called about the confirmation. They had it listed that the shoes that I just ordered had arrived in December, and I wanted to make sure it would not affect my return. I guess that problem was probably tied in with all of the other stuff.
Hmm, I don’t know if this would change my opinion of them. It would if it was anyone else. Of course I know that I need to try on shoes first, so I probably won’t be ordering from them unless it is something that I have tried somewhere else.
I’m still looking for some boots and some tennis shoes

Which is worse, being on hold forever with no one saying anything, or having someone come back on the line 5 times in 30 minutes to say “Thank you for holding, I’ll be right back, I have to check with one more person.”
I can see coming on every 10 or 15 minutes, but every 5 minutes is annoying. You’re just wasting time that you could have been getting the other person on the line and figuring out what was wrong. I know I’m still holding, I’m assuming your coming back…you don’t have to check on me every 5 minutes. Of course it would be better if you could let me hang up, figure out the mess, and call me back and tell me what’s going on.
35 minutes…and still on hold

Well, since I didn’t have much to do today…I decided to play with my makeup a little. I got a 40 pack sampler of piggies from Twisted Fayte right before they stopped doing the samplers. Since I usually wear them dry, I decided to try them wet. Since I didn’t want to look to made up I decided to use purity, which is a pale pink color in the baggie. I wet my little flat eyeshadow brush, and dipped it in the baggie. Purity just looked shimmery on me wet. I was expecting it to be a little darker, or at least a little more noticeable. I’m pretty pale-I guess it would have shown up better if I was darker. I do like the piggies though. There are tons of colors, and I really do need to experiment with them more. Purity will probably be a great basecoat, so I will have to try that soon, I just didn’t feel like doing a purple or blue eye today.

I just opened some ginger ale that’s been in my fridge for a while, and the top blew off, flew to the ceiling, then bounced back down. I have never seen anything like that it my life. I’m still laughing.
The puppies got their heartguard and frontline today, so fortunately they were in the other room asleep and didn’t get it. All that noise and it didn’t phase them a bit.
That’s so funny. I can’t believe it just happened.
Has that happened to you?
