My search for a new place to live
Tuesday, November 29th, 2005I hate moving, it’s so interesting to see the things real estate agents will do. I just emailed someone, and said I am looking for a place in point A. She emailed me back and said I have something in point b, which is quiet near point A.
Unfortunately she didn’t know that I currently live in point b, so I know that it is at least 50 miles away from where I wanted to be. That’s just crazy. If I wanted to live 50 miles away from the place, I would have said that.
I can see saying I don’t have anything in point A, but I do have these available, but they are 45-50 miles away. I would have no problem with that.
But don’t tell me it’s close when it’s 50 miles away.
That is not close to me, especially when the reason we are moving is because traffic is so bad DH has to leave 2 hours early to make sure he gets to work on time, and it takes a half a tank of gas to get there and back.
Anyways, we aren’t having much luck, I think I called 20 people today, and only 2 of them accept pets. I think the rental agencies are just telling the owners that they won’t deal with them if they allow people with pets to rent the houses.
But I guess I can’t blame them.
