I have audio!

I am so excited! I got web audio plus today - for free, I’ve been wanting it forever, but I’m too cheap to pay for it, lol!

So now I have audio on the home page of Mystical Beauty!

I’m so excited! If you are unfamiliar with audio, just look for the round pink button with a dark gray or blackish triangle on it under the eyes. It’s near the top of the page.- Yep, I’m trying to tell my mom how to use it, so she will be the first one to hear it

I am so excited!

After Christmas I will work on it a little more, and try to get messages set up for the blog and the forum!

Woo hoo! I’m making rebatched goat milk and oatmeal soap!

I’m so excited! DH got this and not one, but 2 different lip balm kits for me for Christmas. He got one, then found another that he liked better, he’s so sweet.

And yes, he asked me to open them before Christmas so he could see me - the wonders of webcams!

This is the first time I’ve made soap by myself, and the only time I’ve used anything other than melt and pour soap.

The soap is soaking in goats milk, and I have about an hour of letting it soak before I put it in the oven.

I have 2 loaf molds, 2 artisan molds, and a sheet with 4 sets of soaps-one with a crab, one with a seahorse, one with a whale, and one with 2 dolphins (see it matches the forum theme).

I also have a lavendar flowers FO, a cool citrus basil fragrance oil, oatmeal and honey FO, dried basil, rose petals, lavendar buds, apricot meal, sweet almond oil, 4 vitamin E capsules, oatmeal, and green and violet color chips.

I still haven’t decided what I am going to add yet.

My SIL and MIL like lavendar, so I am going to try to add that and a few of the dried flowers in theirs.

I will probably do plain ones for the guys, I might use the OMH FO in theirs, and in my sisters.

I think I will do a citrus basil for me and my mom, and put a little oatmeal on top.

I really hope this turns out, I’m excited.

The instructions said to ad the additives after the soap is in the mold, so I should be able to do everyones differently with no problem.

I know some people don’t like the kits, but they are definitely great for gift giving. DH knew this was something I was interested in, and it was a lot easier for him to buy a kit than for him to go out and research everything he would need to get for me to make my own soap.

Plus I’ll admit it…I’m still a little scared of the lye. Especially with the puppies running around, I’d have to horror of horrors, put them in the kennel while I was making soap.

And the worse thing of all…I’m not a big bar soap person. I hate it when it gets gooey and melty and it grosses me out when people I don’t know use it.

But, I’m definitely going to use my soap

I might even get up the nerve to use some lye…lol if i can find some !

Goodbye Cruel World!

After thinking this over for several weeks, I’ve decided what I pretty much knew all along. Etailers Mall is closing.

I’ve been sad since I wrote the article in the forums this afternoon, and that suprised me. It’s hard to say goodbye to something that I’ve worked so hard on, but I don’t have the time to give it the attention that it needs, and I will have a lot less time next year Yay.

I can’t bear to do this again tonight…in fact I’m about to fall asleep now, but I have to do this tonight, so I won’t have to think about it as much in the morning, so I am just going to quote from the announcement I put in the Etailers Mall forums.

I am sad to announce that I will be closing the Etailers Mall website. It’s just not doing what I want it to, and I don’t have time to effectively promote it, since my goal was to provide free advertising, and a community of users who cared about etailers.

As always you can visit the Mystical Beauty Forums and discuss etailers there - bath and body, and cosmetic etailers should be discussed in the beauty forums, and everything else can be discussed in the life forums…unless they need to be discussed in the love forums

I would like to thank all of you for your support at this time.

I will be closing the chat room and the calendar today to free up space for upgrades to Mystical Beauty.

I have been looking for a good topsites list for a while, and I think I have finally found one. I am planning on adding all of the bath/body/candle/cosmetic/jewelry links that are already listed on etailers mall to the topsite list before I finally close Etailers Mall down.

Woo hoo I just made $50!

Woo Hoo! I just got an email and I finally gave away a satellite and made $50! I am so excited. I do have to wait until the satellite is installed to get paid, but now they are offering next day installation in some areas, so it shouldn’t be too long. I can’t wait!

To be perfectly honest I’d pretty much given up on the site. I think there are a few banners on Mystical Beauty and a few other places, but I haven’t been actively promoting the site. So it is really cool that I made $50 when I wasn’t even trying.

It’s a little frustrating because I can’t tell where the sale came from, but that’s fine. It’s still money Oh wait, I just went and looked at the site and they’ve restructured things - you can create up to 100 sub id’s like this and track the buys, installs, returns, unique visits, and total page views for each sub id.

In case your interested, I just signed up at a page like this VMC Satellite Affiliate Program because it was free.

I got my own page like this one Free Dish Network Satellite Offer and I was even able to edit the “Site Brought to You By” info at the top. Mine says J and S. I wonder why .

VMC even provided me with my own web page banners (there are over 10 pages to choose from), logos, graphics, and flyers that I can print and pass out in English, or Spanish. They also have tips and techniques for getting the most of your affiliate account - such as talk to local real estate agents and seeing if they would be interested in the program - each person who signs up gets $50 when they give away 1-19 satellites a month. If they give away 20 or more per month they earn $100 each! If someone signs up under me I will earn $15 each time they make a sale, and if someone signs up under that person, I will make $10 each time they make a sale!

Wow, I turned this into an ad, but I figured if I read about someone making $50 on accident I wanted to know how they did it too! Hope you enjoy!
