Well, I bought my first advertisement for Mystical Beauty, so I am really excited! I hope it brings us some good traffic, and lots more forum members
We’ve also got a new member on the Topsites List, and hopefully we’ll have lots more.
I’ve also just discovered plug boards! They are so much fun, and I’ve found some great sites while I was looking at them
Now I just need to figure out how to make a nice pretty button, so mine will be as nice as all the other buttons on the plug boards. I actually have seen some traffic from the plug boards, so that is really exciting!
Well, off to work, have a great day!

I used the MAC eyeshadow brushes I got for Christmas with a Twisted Fayte pigment, and I was really amazed at the difference the brush made.
I’ve been using Sonia Kashuk eyeshadow brushes, and the MAC brushes really brought out the pink irridescence in the shadow (sweetie), in a way that the other brushes didn’t do.
I used the 239 shading brush to apply sweetie shadow on the lid up to the browbone, then I used the 219 pencil brush to apply struck, a lavendar shade, in the crease.
I followed it with black powder shadow (cover girls professional eye enhancers in midnight jazz) used wet (with water) and applied with the 266 small angle brush. I like the way this brush applies eyeliner, but it is a bit heavy for every day wear.
Although I do have to admit that I love the way the 239 and 219 work with the pigments, I’ve tried them with powder shadows, and I haven’t been too impressed.

I have the biggest chicken puppy!
Today I got a stack of cardboard paper, and 4 magic markers, and dropped them on the floor and sat down in the living room.
Scrappy jumped up and ran away.
I finished writing “Welcome Home” and decorating the paper, and carefully placed it on the wall, then I went to find Scrappy.
He was just sitting in the bathtub looking pitiful.
A few minutes later I got him to come slinking into the living room, and he just looked up at the wall, turned his head from left to right as if he was reading the sign, then turned and ran away.

Happy Women TV
I just ran across this podcast/tv show today, and it’s really cute.
Although I probably won’t be wearing these designs on my feet, I do think I am going to try using some glittery nail polish and make a french tip like I learned on the show. I’m still trying to decide how to do my nails for when DH comes home.
I can’t decide if I like the fact that they don’t make exactly the same designs on the show as they do in the book or not.
It is nice to see the different colors you can do things, but at the same time, I want to see how they did it in the book, lol so I guess I should just buy the book then.
I’ve already checked and they don’t have it at my library, what a shock.
I did like the tips they had for picking up nail gems and placing them on your nails.
I did have to download the new apple 7 plug in with Itunes so that I could see the video, I was able to listen to the video with what was already on my computer, but I really wanted to see the video, after all it’s a lot easier for the artistically challenged to figure out how to do the designs by seeing them done, then by hearing them done.
Hope you enjoy! If you know of any good podcasts feel free to let me know.

I just got off the phone with Tmobile.
Apparently, back in October they sent me a letter asking if I wanted an extra 50 minutes each month.
So I called in and said yes.
They failed to mention that when I said yes I also agreed to a 2 year extension on my contract.*
I hate it when companies do such sneaky, deceptive things.
I was planning on upgrading to a family plan since DH is coming home, and that had been the plan since I got married in January.
Now I don’t want anything to do with them, and I’m stuck with them.
And I have to call them back tomorrow because the first person didn’t know how to set up the new plan, and I got so mad I didn’t complete the transaction when the 3rd person I talked to about adding a family plan and upgrading phones told me that my contract was through 2007 when I knew I had only signed a one year contract in Dec of 2004.
And to top it all off DH gets a cool new phone, and I get my old one
Oh well, at least I don’t have to transfer all my phone numbers to a new phone, or learn how to work a new phone.
It’s just a shame that this day and age companies still feel as if they have to lie and deceive people in order to “keep” new customers.
Before today I probably never would have thought about leaving Tmobile.
Now…I’ll be counting down the days to when the new contract is over…if I can actually manage to add a new line and upgrade to a family plan in tomorrow.
Nah, I won’t really be counting down the days, now I just feel an overwhelming sense of sadness that businesses don’t think they can get ahead without lying and cheating their customers.
I will be looking for a new cell phone provider when my contract is through though.
PS - Can you believe that #2 of the 3 people I talked to was unable to tell me which rate plan I was on? How can you have a business that is so divided that they can’t answer basic information? Especially when that person was adding a line to the plan? How are you going to add a line to a plan when you don’t know what plan the person is on?
*For all of you that are asking “Didn’t you think something was funny? Why would they offer you 50 minutes for nothing.”
Yeah, I thought something was funny, but I also thought that businesses were also obligated to tell you when they were extending your contract. I didn’t know that if they said “I’m going to give you 50 minutes a month” it meant “If you accept I’m going to extend your contract by 2 years.”
I also received a promotion from Alltel for being a loyal customer which gave me 50 extra minutes a month and did not obligate me to any other time in their service, so I thought Tmobile might be doing the same thing. (I only left Alltel because it was dropping calls in my house, and with DH deployed that was bad.)
And again I’ll say, I thought they had to TELL you that they were going to extend your contract, in plain English!
I guess I was wrong, at least when I’m dealing with Tmobile.

Well, I have to decided to give Etailers Mall another chance. While I have been looking for ways to advertise Mystical Beauty I ran across a ton of sites selling advertising. And there weren’t too many of them that were relevant to shopping at home, or beauty sites
I decided that I am going to try to sell advertising on Etailers Mall, instead of giving it away for free. I have read so many things lately saying that if people have to pay for something, they will value it, but if you give it away for free, they won’t. And hey, you never know, it might even make enough to at least pay the hosting bills
I probably will not have enough time to start selling advertising space until the middle of Feb, because my husband is finally coming home! I am so excited! And I want to be able to give the site and the advertisers the attention they deserve.
I did make a new wordpress blog, hosted on the wordpress site, you can find it at Etailers Mall Blog.
The new blog will allow paid advertisers to post a little more info about their website, and it will allow consumers and advertisers to reply to and post comments.
I am very excited about this, and I hope that with all the new info about how search engines love blogs this will help out the advertisers out as well.
I am also not using a blog on the Etailers Mall domain for this because I think it will help to have links pointing from 2 different domains pointing at the other site.
It will also allow me to leave the blog up if I do decide that I’m not going to renew my hosting on the Etailers Mall site.
Wish me luck!
PS, I think I am going to go through and ad some of the current Etailers Mall advertisers to the blog, that way there will at least be some content on the site
