I just got back from the interview for the call center - although I really don’t think I want to do that, they do have another position which I think will be ok - it also pays better.
They are going to schedule a second interview with the hiring company, and should get back to me later today.
I’m still holding out for the writing job though, lol.

I just got a response to a writing job I applied for yesterday - she said my writing was good, and asked me to write another article, and if she’d like it I’d have the job.
I’d been praying all day that I’d find a job, and then when I got the call about the bank I thought that was it.
I know in my heart I would not be happy in a cubicle, although I think I could deal with an inbound calls job, so I was worried about that all day yesterday.
Then I prayed about it, and decided if God had sent me the interview he must know something, so I’d go to the interview, and try it if the position was about 3 months long or so, or at least think about the position.
Then today I got the letter about the writing position, and I’m flying. I haven’t been this excited about a job in a long time.
I’ve always wanted to be a writer, and even though I know there is so much I can do with my sites to SEO optimize them, and add adsense to make money, I don’t want my sites to be full of articles just to make money.
Shoot, I won’t even do blogitive ads on here, because the stuff I’d have to write about doesn’t match my content, and I don’t want to turn it into a completely commercial thing, and lose the heart of the site.
I know some people just ask people to write articles so they can get a bunch of articles for free, and I am hoping and praying that this isn’t what’s going on, and that I’ve found a good decent job that pays well.
Well, if they like the article I wrote - she wanted it in by tomorrow morning, but I’ve already emailed it to her - within an hour of her sending it, so that has to count for something, right!
I’m so excited, I will be heartbroken if I don’t get this.
I would like to do something out of the house, but I’m really scared to drive in the snow! I don’t even like driving in the rain, but I will if I absolutely have to - but snow…it scares me.
So being able to work at home for the first year, until I get used to driving in the snow would be a huge blessing, and a tremendous weight off of my shoulders.
Plus with DH working such long hours - 12 hours a day, 6 days I week, I don’t think I’d ever get to see him if I worked away from home, unless I got a 9-5 job.
And I want to see my husband!
OK, off to prepare my resumes, and references for the job interview for the bank!
Wish me luck, lol!

I have an interview tomorrow for an inbound call center.
I don’t know if I am excited or not.
It’s nice to have an interview, but I really don’t think I want to do this job forever.
Although I don’t feel comfortable passing over a good job, DH thinks I have enough time to wait for the perfect job if I’m not happy with this one.
There are 2 jobs that I really want, but I just can’t see myself waiting around hoping that they’ll magically call me.

I am setting a new goal for myself to try to post to Sarah’s Suprises at least three times a week - at first I was going to try to post 7 times in the next 7 days, but then I realized that I will be gone Sat, and Sun, so that’s not going to happen.
I was looking around at a website of a person I’ve come to respect from a couple of bath and body groups we’re both in…and I realized that she didn’t have one picture of any of her products on the whole web site.
I know it can be a pain to take and post pictures - shoot, I just started adding them my blogs, but I can’t imagine not having any pictures of your products on a business website.
I wouldn’t buy anything online without seeing it, unless I had a really, really good recomendation from a friend, and I don’t feel comfortable promoting a site without pictures so I can see the products.
Although I am just posting pictures of products I think are unique or interesting, and even though I don’t actually use the product (and I’m not getting paid to advertise the products), I still want to do the best I can to make sure that if I tell you about a site, I want it to have quality products, and a quality site.
If I do tell you about something, and you’ve had a negative experience with it, by all means let me know!
If there are any independent crafters that you know of that you think I should mention, please leave me a comment, email me, or pm me, and let me know!
I’d love to find more small businesses to share with you!

How are you?
I’m doing good, I’m going to a baby shower for 2 of my cousins this weekend, so that should be fun.
I’m riding up with one of my other cousins, and her 2 daughters, and I’m excited about getting to know them.
I’m still getting the “Where are you from?” questions whenever I go out. I guess Minnesota doesn’t get too many Southern accents.
We finally named the snake we hope is a female Sheila…
because we’d had her for a week, and didn’t have a name for her, and I had the song “Oh, oh Sheila” running through my head.
Of course, now I constantly have the song running through my head.
It’s getting rather annoying.
Sheila is pretty shy - she stays underneath the water bowl almost constantly.
I walked over to the cage last night, and she had her head poking out, so I called Jeff.
I guess he spooked her, because she sure did jerk her hair back under the water bowl pretty fast!
Monty moves around a little, and explores the cage. He’s been on top of the hide box since yesterday, so it’s pretty cool.
We’ll I’m off to look for a job, and clean house some more
What fun.

DH’s aunt and grandma dropped off another housewarming gift for us…a venus fly trap
I love it!
I don’t think they really liked it since they said “When we saw this ugly thing” we thought about you…with the snakes and all.
It’s a really pretty Venus Fly Trap, with the red inside the leaves
I’ve had a few - Hunter kept carrying the last one I had around, so I finally threw it out.
It might have been dead anyways.
We are thinking about getting this set for our front room/sitting room, which also has our dining room table.
I’m thinking it might be a bit pale, since we have a pale beige/off white carpet, and white drapes up now.
I was thinking about reupholstering the dining room chairs cushion in a purple or lavendar color but now I’m not sure.
DH want’s to redo the tiles around the fireplace a shiny black, so I’m not sure what other colors we want to use.
We also found a renter for downstairs - a guy DH met at work, so I’m excited, I was worried that we would have trouble finding someone who would be willing to pay as much as we wanted, since neither of us are familiar with rent prices around here.
Oh yeah - I posted this on the forums, but I signed up to get a free coupon for Loreal’s Hip Foundation, so if I get that I should have another review for you sometime
Ok, I’m off to work on the house and apply for some more jobs!
I hope you’re having a fabulous day.

We just got our first housewarming gift!
It’s a beautiful Arbocola plant from my in laws
LOL DH’s Grandmother came over yesterday, and said we had a lot of plants…that’s without seeing the 2 orchids, and the lipstick mona lisa upstairs, and the 2 roses, cactus, and 2 palm trees at DH’s parents house
We are planning to put the palms either on either side of the living room to separate the living room from the dining room, or on either side of the fireplace….of course depending on how things work out once we get furniture for downstairs, we might put them on either side of the snake cages.
We really need places to hang the plants though - we have the lipstick mona lisa, two tri-colored (or varigated) oyster plants, and a pink gem caladium that we need to hang up - the only problem is that the ceilings downstairs are really high, and I’m not quite sure what to use to hang them.
I don’t like macrame hangers, and I don’t want to use regular chain
I’m so clueless with decorating!
