Downtime this morning

Friday, October 27th, 2006

As some of you know the websites were down this morning.

I’m not really sure what happened comforthost said they hasd some server problems, but apparently everything is working now.

I got several emails about the sites being down, and I apologize for any inconvenience!

And to all who wrote thank you for your concern.

Trivia!

Friday, October 27th, 2006

1. Do you know how many hours cats sleep a day?

2. Or why anyone would hollow out a potato and put a piece of coal in it?

If you don’t know the answers to these questions, and you want to know, or if you vist love trivia, you should visit the Aviva Trivia Blog.

DH is a font of useless knowledge I mean trivia, so I’ll definitely be visiting the blog again so I can know something he doesn’t!

(Umm…that isn’t wrong of me, is it?)

I really enjoyed reading The History of The Jack-o-lantern. I don’t think I’ve ever heard that before.

Oh, and if you think you know the answers to the trivia questions - read on to make sure. (more…)

Maryam’s Soap Nook

Friday, October 27th, 2006

I was fortunate enough to recieve a box of goodies from Maryam’s Soap Nook to review for you.

I have been using the Ginger Cardamom Souffle Whipped Shea Monoi Body Butter since Wednesday, and I absolutely love it.

The body butter is moisturizing enough that I don’t have to keep running to put more on every 30 minutes (like I’ve been doing with my Lubriderm) and it’s not greasy, so I can put it on and type with no greasy keyboard problems.

I also tried the Luxury Body Mist in Sugar in Spice this morning, and I can’t stop smelling myself! It’s a good thing no ones around me, because I bet I look pretty silly!

So far I’m loving everything I’ve tried from Maryam’s Soap Nook, and I’ve got more to try, so stay tuned for more reviews!

Mini Podcast notes

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

Hey, just a few brief notes on the mini podcast I did yesterday.

The amazing Olay body wash I was raving about is the purple Olay body wash plus body butter ribbons with jojoba butter. It’s the purple one.

And yes, I know that multitasking means doing more than one thing, so don’t ask why I said I can only do one thing at a time after I said I was multitasking.

Silly me!

Mini Podcast

Hi! Here’s a mini podcast - I hope you enjoy it.

Please forgive the horrible audio!

:-(

Monday, October 23rd, 2006

Hi, how are you? Have you ever had one of those days?

I lost 3 hours of work today when my computer program went crazy - I’m pretty sure I’ll still get paid for it but it’s so annoying!

Then I came home and was looking forward to eating a Reese’s peanut butter pumpkin…and when I got home it was MISSING!

Either someone broke into my house and just ate my pumpkin, or DH came home and ate it, and didn’t tell me about it.

I can’t get ahold of him on his phone, so we’ll see…

The renters dog was tied up outside today - it’s in the 30s, and they were calling for snow today.

I know lots of dogs live outside in Minnesota, but that just seems cold to me!

Anyway, the dog was barking and howling for about 45 minutes, so I went to check on her - she had wrapped herself around a pole, and couldn’t move…poor thing.

I had to unwrap her again before I left for work (it’s a good thing she’s a nice dog), so we’ll have to talk to the renter tonight.

Fun, fun.

Oh, and to top it all off, the chuck roast we’ve had in the fridge since Friday, was still frozen solid when I took it out this morning.

I guess we’re having tacos tonight!

Hi

Friday, October 20th, 2006

Hi! How are you?

Things are going good here.

Apparently DH brought tickets to the opera tonight.

I am kind of scared! I guess that’s what I get for watching the Phantom of the Opera.

Once.

I’m kind of excited, but the show really isn’t something I wanted to see.

Don’t I sound like a little ungrateful wretch.

We finally got a new renter.

With a dog.

That barks.

All the time!

Ok, not all the time. Put for 15-20 minute periods throughout the time the owner is gone.

It’s terrible!

The dog is young, and used to being with another dog, so I’m sure she is lonely.

(She’s barking now :-).)

I feel bad for her, and I’m hoping she will stop, but it’s been going on since Monday.

She barks, she howls, she whines, she yips.

And we are almost sure she is standing right behind the door that leads to our part of the house, so it’s really loud.

But, I guess that’s life.

It was kind of cool, because the first time she did it Hunter started howling back at her.

We’ve heard her howl when we were outside, but we’ve never seen it - as much as I’ve tried to get her to howl for me.

Yup, I was howling at her. That’s how they did it on the growing up wolf show!

Anyways, that’s life for now.

I hope you have a great weekend!
