Hi! This is a little late, but I have you had a fabulous Christmas, and I hope that you have a successful and happy 2007!
I recieved a lovely packet of samples from Jodi of Darshan Beauty way too long ago, and I have to say that I’ve loved everything I tried!
I was disappointed when I used up the Tranquility Face Wash! Although the face wash had a smell that wasn’t my favorite, I loved everything else about the facewash.
The Aurora AM Creme had the perfect amount of moisture for these dry cold winters, and left a beautiful matte finish.
I also think this cream would have been great when I lived in Savannah, and needed something moisturizing, that wouldn’t leave my face oily!
Anyway, I have to get back to work, but more to come later!
I went to my paypal account on monday, and realized that I had $93 dollars in there - most of it was from PayPerPost, and from doing surveys.
It’s kind of fun to realize that I can spend 20-30 minutes a day -if that, and make some extra money. PayPerPost, like most of the surveys, doesn’t pay you immediately. With PayPerPost you get paid after your blog entry has been up after 30 days, so it’s always fun to get the unexpected email saying “You’ve been paid.”
With most surveys it takes 8-12 weeks after the survey has closed for you to get paid…and even then it’s usually only $2 at a time.
So far I’ve been paid just over $30 for payperpost, and I’ll get $10 more for this post ![]()
I would have made a lot more money if I wasn’t so picky.
I don’t want to comprimise the integrity of this blog just to make money.
I carefully look over each site that I recommend, or link to, and make sure that they don’t seem untrustworthy, and I will not recommend a site that I would be afraid to purchase from myself.
I also haven’t been paid for anything related to beauty or cosmetics, and if I do do a post where I’m getting paid to advertise that kind of stuff I’ll let you know. (I do receive free products for reviews at times, but I’m not paid to use/recommend them.)
Anyways, I’m planning to use the money I’ve already got for Christmas presents for my family…I can’t tell you what because my family reads the blog.
As always, if you have any questions or comments leave a comment, or email me and let me know what’s on your mind.
Hello! It’s nice and windy outside, and the snows on the ground. It’s beginning to feel like Christmas!
I don’t remember if I’ve ever had a white Christmas before, but I’m thinking that it’s a pretty sure thing that I’ll have one this year!
And you know what happens when it starts to feel like Christmas - everyone starts wondering what to get everyone else!
Hello Dollface is doing an article on the items her fellow beauty bloggers have on their beauty wishlist…so here’s mine, in no particular order.
Pharaoh’s Mistress Perfume Oil from Fyrinnae. According to their site it’s a “sensual, feminine blend that defies description, but does not consist of florals or heavy musk. This was our top seller in the summer of 2005. ”
Urban Decay Urban Ammo Eye Palette featuring Smog (deep coppery bronze), Maui Wowie (sandy sheen), Mildew (shimmering metallic green), Shattered (bright iridescent aquamarine), Oil Slick (black with rainbow glitter), Polyester Bride (sheer white shimmer), Last Call (iridescent plummy purple), Grifter (sparkling pale purple), Chopper (shimmering fawn with glitter), and Sin (light shimmering champagne) eyeshadows.
5 Eye Brushes from MAC Cosmetics, which of course features 5 MAC eye brushes. Unfortunately it’s sold out :-(.
And the Prescriptives Lash Envy Volumizing Mascara Duo. As ususal, I was watching QVC…
Of course there are tons of other things I’m sure I’d love to have
But I pretty much have everything I need, so I don’t think about it too much.
So what’s on your wishlist? What beauty products are you planning on getting your friends and family?
I’d love to know!
Happy Holidays!
DH just called me to tell me the snow was really coming down.
Me being the Carolina girl that I am…I decided to take a break from work and go play with the dogs.
What fun!
There’s about an inch of snow on the ground, and the snow is coming down…and Hunter is just lying in the snow, playing with a stick…and occassionally taking a bite out of the snow.
She is so cute!
Scooby and Scrappy were just running around exploring, eating at the snow, and pawing at it.
Even though its snowing, it’s warmer than it has been outside, so they were happy to stay outside for a bit.
I am so blessed to be able to run out and play in the snow whenever I want too.
I hope that never changes!
I’ve been using Sweet Beauty’s Crave lip balm, for a couple of weeks now, and it is divine.
Of course, since the first ingredient is organic fair trade chocolate, that’s not a surprise.
It’s not as slippery as most balms when you first put it on, but after you put it on it’s divine.
I think it gives my lips a teeny tiny hint of color, but DH disagrees
