I can’t believe I’ve been using Manor Hall Soap Company’s Almost Sunset Bodywash for 3 weeks!
Manor Hall Soap Company says:
“Our all natural body wash gel is made from organic oils of coconut, olive and jojoba, and is free of synthetics and artificial surfactants. With added organic aloe vera for its moisturizing skin softening kindness, this body wash feels silky soft on your skin.
With pure oil of lemongrass for the spirit, and ylang to pleasantly soothe, this smoky sunsetting scent bewitches with a kick of other essential oils including patchouli.”
I really like this bodywash, and I’ve had no problems with skin irritation, or sensitivity…except for a little dryness when I took 3 showers in one day (get up, shower, hot tub, shower, garden, shower) but I think pretty much everything is going to have some kind of effect with that many showers in one day.
I like the scent of the bodywash, and I’m not a big fan of patchouli, or ylang, but this smells really good.
The scent is also the perfect strength in the shower, yet it doesn’t linger long enough to compete with my perfume.
My husband says the bodywash reminds him of the smell of an older record store. And if you’re wondering, that’s a good thing.
The label held up really well in the shower, too. It’s not that important to me, but it doesn’t seem as much like a pampering experience when you’re washing with a container with a big fat blob of runny ink on it.
If you’ve tried the Almost Sunset Bodywash, I’d love to know what you think, so leave a comment.

Lately I’ve been thinking I really should start doing my nails.
After all, I haven’t had to wear gloves for almost 3 years now, so I really don’t have an excuse anymore.
My main problem with nail polish is that it chips…constantly.
If not the day I apply it, it’s chipped the next day.
I hate to admit it, but I’m currently wearing horribly chipped nail polish.
I was looking for a pale color, that wouldn’t make the pink in my hands seem obvious, and I finally decided on Milani’s French Manicure Nail Lacquer in Lilly Valley.
The color is very pretty, and I’ll admit I just wanted to see how it looked on, so I washed my hands to get all the lotion off, and applied the nail polish.
The color was beautiful, and it went on my left hand perfectly, but for some reason it was really streaky and the brush just didn’t glide smoothly over my right hand.
I stopped and rolled the bottle gently between my palms, which I read that you should do somewhere, and when that didn’t help I started flinging it around like a madwoman…with the cap firmly on, of course.
That helped a little bit, but I still had a few streaks.
I loved the sheer lilac tint that the polish left with just one coat, but I decided to go ahead and do two coats.
After all, everyone says to use two coats, right?
That wasn’t such a good idea, because the streaking problems continued.
Here’s where I admit the truth. I was actually working and painting, so I just left the streaks, and figured I’d deal with it later.
Bad girl.
I know I didn’t get home from buying the polish until after 4 on Wednesday, so I applied it sometime after then.
The next day by 1 the polish on my right index finger was noticeably chipping off, and by the end of the day it was worse.
Here is my right hand today, about 48 hours after applying the polish.

See why I don’t wear nailpolish all that often?
This is what my fingernails always do after a day or two.
I haven’t given up hope yet.
I’ll try it again with a topcoat and basecoat and see if that helps.
(You can read my experiences with the Milani Nail Lacquer and Creative Nail Designs Super Shiney top coat and Stickey base coat at Milani’s French Manicure Nail Lacquer Take Two.
Do you have any tips for making polish last?
If so I’d love the help.
As you can see, I need it.

Hello, I hope you’re having a great day.
I started out with a wonderful shower, and fresh Lemon and Honey Soap from Blue Heron Soap Co, which I recieved as a sample at the Fargo’s Downtown Street Fair.
I really liked the soap. It smells wonderful in the shower, and it doesn’t leave a lasting scent afterwards, so you don’t have to worry about the soap smell conflicting with your perfume smell.
We only had an hour at the fair, so I didn’t buy much, but I did get a beautiful 11×14 print of a Lighthouse in the sea by Vincent Fleming.
I love, love, love it! It was originally going to be for my reading nook, but since the reading nook is still full of boxes, I think it might have to go in the bedroom for now.
I really love the fact that the lighthouse kind of looks like a castle, and the storms are coming forward to cover the sun!
Beautiful.
Well, I’m off to work.
Have a great weekend!

If you have a product that you would like to send me so that I can review it for this site I would be more than happy to do so.
Just email me with the details about the product/products, so that I can decide if it’s something that I think would work for me.
The review will be honest - so if the products don’t work for me, I won’t say they do.
I will however try to determine who the product would benefit, and try to perform the interview with an honest, yet positive spin.
For more info you can fill out this contact form, just make sure you put Product Review, or something similar in the subject so I won’t think it’s junk mail and delete it.
Products can also be sent to Sarah O. PO BOX 73, Moorhead, MN 56561-0073.
If we haven’t discussed the review before products are recieved products are not guaranteed to be reviewed, but I do try to review everything that I get.
