Milani Glitzy Gloss First Class Review

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Milani Glitzy Gloss First Class Color SwatchThe first time I tried on this lip gloss, I couldn’t believe it was real.

Over, and over I tested - and my lips were nice and moist.

I didn’t have to apply chapstick for over 2 1/2 hours while I was wearing Milani Glitzy Gloss, and let me tell you, that’s a first.

My husband didn’t even believe me when I told him I hadn’t put on chapstick for 2 1/2 hours.

I tried Milani Glitzy Gloss in First Class, which is a pinkish violet color on my lips.

The lip gloss applied smoothly, and evenly, and had a slight watermelon smell which wasn’t overwhelming, and disappeared quickly.

From reading other reviews I think that each lipstick has it’s own fragrance, but I’m not sure.

The gloss did have a slightly metallic sheen, but it wasn’t noticeable until I got up close, unless I applied too much lip gloss.

The gloss definitely has a beautiful, intense color, and the color lasts, unless I put it over chapstick - which of course I don’t need to do since the glitzy gloss is moisturizing enough by itself.

I tried other Milani Lip Glosses in Dressed Up, and Crystals, and while they are beautiful, I love the moisturizing Glitzy Gloss more.

If you’ve tried Milani’s Glitzy Gloss, I’d love to hear what you think about it.

Do you think it’s moisturizing, and are there different scents for the different colors?

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Wednesday, October 1st, 2008

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

So many people have been affected by Breast Cancer, but we still haven’t found a cure, and too many people are still suffering with this disease.

Together we can make a difference.

In addition to my regular features, I’ll also be focusing on pink items, Breast Cancer Awareness items, and items which donate a portion of their proceeds to cancer charities.

This month Sarah’s Surprises will focus solely on cancer awareness items, and items that donate a portion of their proceeds to a cancer charity.

I’ll also be participating with The Beauty Blog Networks Comments 4 A Cure.

Instead of everyone doing Comments 4 A Cure on the same 3 days this year, we each get to pick our own 3 days - Mystical Beauty’s Musings will be doing Comments 4 A Cure from October 21-23, and Sarah’s Surprises will be doing Comments 4 A Cure from October 28-30.

For each comment left on the blog during these 3 days, I’ll be donating $1 to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation with a maximum total of $50 for both blogs (sorry, I’m poor this year).

I’ll also be letting you know when other beauty bloggers are doing Comments 4 A Cure so you can visit them - and you’ll see a new pink widget on the blog that highlights the breast cancer awareness blog posts from the Beauty Blog Network.

As always - if you’ve got something to say about Breast Cancer Awareness, or if you know of a great Breast Cancer Awareness beauty product that I should be aware of, please leave a comment and tell me about it.

Thank you for helping to make a difference.
