I really loved Foxy Mineral Makeups Cool 1.0 Foundation, $18.50 for 7.5 grams.
I was literally scraping the sample baggie on New Years Eve trying to get enough foundation out so that I could use it, but I just didn’t have enough.
I used the foundation for just about two weeks, and I didn’t have any breakouts or unusual oiliness or dryness while I was wearing it.
The foundation was natural looking, but it wasn’t so pale that I looked dead.
I wore the Cool 1.0 shade, but I did try on the Cool .5 shade.
I thought the color matched my skin, but it still left me looking a little pale.
The Cool 1.0 was a much better match for me.
If I didn’t have more foundation to review, I’d definitely be buying a jar of this for daily use.
If you’ve tried Foxy Mineral Makeup let me know what you think about it.

I’ve been using the Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara in blackest black for about two weeks now.
The mascara information says:
‘Get the extreme lash makeover with Revlon 3D Extreme™ Mascara! It creates dramatic lashes with extreme fullness, curl and length – 25X fuller, 70% curvier and 80% visibly longer lashes. The Exclusive Bold Impact™ Brush is tapered to lift, amplify and separate even the tiniest lashes. The patented lightweight gel formula with intense color pigments delivers a bold lash look in one step – no primer needed! No caking or flaking. Available in 3 shades. Also available in Waterproof.
I definitely didn’t experience this, but to be honest, I normally don’t believe most claims from mascara.
The first time I applied the mascara it was really heavy, and really clumpy.
After that first day I started wiping the excess mascara off of the mascara wand, that seemed to help.
My lashes are darker, and maybe a little longer and fuller, but I don’t notice any curves in my stick straight lashes.
This is an ok mascara, but I’d rather not have to wipe the excess mascara off every day, so I wouldn’t repurchase.
I’ve also noticed smudges under my eyes a few times, but I didn’t think to remember what I had under my eyes, so I don’t know what caused the smudges.
If you’ve tried this what do you think?
What mascara do you like?

As I mentioned in my Revlon Renewist Lipcolor Review, I really liked the Revlon Renewist Lipcolor.
But the tube doesn’t last as long as the lipstick.
I was getting ready to put it on yesterday, and when I took the cap off the tube, the lipcolor and it’s plastic base flew up in the air, and landed in my sink.
It’s a good thing that it didn’t land in the carpet.
I had forgotten that somehow the inner tube of the lipstick had detached from the lipstick case, and that’s why it was floating around in the bottom of my makeup case.
Even though I like the lipstick, I don’t think I’ll repurchase this - it’s too much of a pain dealing with lipstick that flies out of the tube when I open it.
One wrong move and I’d have to trash it.
Have you had a similar experience with lipstick popping out of the tube, or cases that were prone to cracking?
What did you do about it?
Right now mine is on my counter and I’ve been using it at home.
I’m definitely not going to let this one leave the house.
Who knows where it will end up if it does - probably in the middle of some bathroom floor.

We’re still working on the tile.
It looks great, but it’s taking a lot longer than we planned.
One of Jeff’s coworkers ran over his ankle a couple of years ago.
He was standing in mud so his food sank in the mud and he only got a sprained ankle instead of a crushed foot, but the ankle still bothers him if he does to much.
I’ve been making him stop working when the ankle swells.
It is a pain having the junk from the upstairs spread all over the house, but its worth it for a few extra days or weeks if it keeps him from hurting his ankle more.
It’s also interesting sitting downstairs.
We are always upstairs unless we have company, or are trying to avoid each other - which mostly means that I’m trying to read while he watches tv.
I’ve never watched the icicles grow on the side of the house - shoot, I never realized that icicles could form when it was below freezing, but the sun shines right along our roof and melts the snow.
We keep an eye out for odd shapes, and icicles of death, so we can knock them down before they get large enough where I’m scared they’ll kill someone if they fall on them.
I’ve also noticed some squirrels running around in the trees in the neighbor’s backyards.
The only time I’ve seen them before was when I was in the backyard.
Sometimes a change of scenery is nice - even if it is in your own house.
I think when we rearrange the upstairs, I’ll put the couch somewhere so that I can look out the windows.
We’ll just see the trees and our neighbors roof, but the evergreens or so pretty with the snow on them.

I’ve been wearing Foxy Mineral Makeup Lib Balm, $3.99, for about 2 months, and I really like it.
The tube doesn’t have the variety of the balm listed on the tube, but it does say that “made with cinnamon and hyalouronic acid for plumping”, so I’m assuming it’s vanilla cinnamon.
It has a delicous cinnamon scent, and it really got my lips tingling the first couple of weeks that I used it.
I’m not sure if I became immune to it since I use it so much, or what, but my lips don’t tingle as much anymore, now that I’ve been using it for a while.
The balm is very moisturizing - even with the harsh winter that we’ve had lately.
The lip balm was in an oval tube, instead of a round one, but that didn’t bother me at all.
Overall, I think this is a great balm, at a great price, especially when you consider the price of the other plumping products around.

I was rushing around trying to get ready to go the other day, and right when I opened my makeup case I saw it.
Tons of sheer taupe powder all over the bottom of the top tray in my makeup case.
I looked for the culprit and I realized that my Live In Color eyeshadow from About Face Cosmetics not playing nice.
My makeup case has been moved around a little more than usual lately, and the About Face shadow jars never to stay tightly closed, but I was still surprised to see the shadow all over the case.
I checked all the other jars, and only the three from About Face had loose lids.
I know some people transfer their pigments into other jars as soon as they get them to prevent spilling and make things more uniform, and others tape the lids so they don’t have to worry about spilling their precious pigments, but that seems like a lot of work to me.
I also think it would be a pain to tape and untape each of the pigments when I wanted to use them.
I’m also worried that I’d mess up my nails dealing with the tape!
Do you do anything to keep your piggies safe from spills?
Have you noticed that certain brands tend to leak or spill more than others?
What do you do when you’re piggies do spill?
Try to save some, toss it all?
Leave it there?
I was in such a rush - my in laws had called and said they wanted me to go somewhere with them and they’d be here in 30 minutes, so my Live in Color is still beautifying the bottom of the makeup case.
I think I’ll probably toss all that I can get of it, although I’m tempted to save some of it.
It was such a pretty color, and I hate to waste money and makeup.

I review a lot of different makeup for my blog, and while some people ask me which colors I wear, some just send me a variety of samples.
I tried one sample a few weeks ago, and it looked ok, but I looked a little pale.
I figured I could just add a little bronzer and everything would be ok. Hey I’ve been finding all sorts of bronzer tutorials, I might as well use them, right?
Unfortunately, the bronzer made me look more alive, but I still looked pale.
I tried the next darkest shade that I had and it was amazing what a difference the color made.
I actually looked alive, and not like I was deathly ill.
Sometimes even when your foundation looks ok, a different color will make you look amazing, so don’t be scared to try a few colors, especially when you look in the mirror and think something looks off.
One of the great things about mineral foundations is that most of them come in a variety of colors, so it’s easy to find one that matches your skin perfectly.
I remember back in the dark ages when I was in high school I usually just grabbed the lightest color of liquid foundation on the shelves, and it usually worked.
Unfortunately, the face powders that were available then were always way to dark for me which presented another set of problems.
It’s great to actually have choices about which product to wear, instead of only being able to wear the one that managed to match my skin tone.
