I don’t know what’s going on other than a lack of sleep due to stress from a volunteer position, and the fact that one of our two foster puppies was adopted last night, leaving the remaining one to cry almost all night long.
I vaguely remember dreaming that I had a maroon elliptical soap dispenser, with a long, thin gold tube leading up to a plastic maroon pump handle.
I was really surprised (in my dream) when I looked at it realized the word “Dove” was written accross the soap dispenser in tall, thin, golden letters.
What do you think this means?
Do I need peace?
Do I need to buy some dove hand soap?
Ok, to be honest, I don’t even know if Dove makes hand soap.
Is Dove testing a new ad campaign in people’s dreams?
That brings a whole new worry to the term “product placement?”
Do you dream about beauty products or any name brand products?

I’ve noticed that a lot of people have stopped saying please and thank you.
The rescue that I work with is constantly sending emails saying “Do this ASAP” without a please or thanks.
If complete strangers are going to order me around, I’d appreciate it if they’d at least say please, especially if they want to keep me volunteering for them.
I always think it’s funny when companies or people say they value someone but can’t be bother to say please or thank you.
Do you say please and thank you?
Do your friends and coworkers?
Does it matter if others say please and thank you when they ask you to do something?
I have to admit that I don’t always notice when people say please and thank you, but I do notice when they never say it.

Revlon Creme Lipgloss is buy one get one free this week at Walgreens.
It’s also free after rebate this week, so if your store stocks the free after rebate items then you could be getting a pretty good deal.
I just went to Walgreens and there are 6 of the lipglosses left 2 Slip into Pink, 2 Mischevious Mocha, and 2 Raisen the Roof.
The Mischevious Mocha might have worked, but the other two wouldn’t have, so I didn’t get any.
I might check back to see if they restock the shelves this week, but they normally don’t restock the free after rebate makeup items until after the promotion is over.
It almost seems as if they don’t fully stock the displays for the stuff in the first place - the two local Walgreens didn’t have the Revlon stuff that was free after rebate at all last month- they didn’t even have space for it in their display, and I checked several times during the promotion.
Does anyone else see this happening at their local Walgreens, or is it just mine?
Revlon’s Age Defying Spa Concealor or Foundation is also free after rebate this month at Walgreens.
They at least seemed to have all of the colors of that, but I didn’t look to hard because I was in a rush, and just ran in there to try to get some of the lip gloss before they ran out.
We see how well that worked :-).
I’m still kind of disappointed.
I was looking forward to trying some new lipstick, hopefully in the Patent Leather Pink and Cherry Tart shades, if they look the same in real life as they do online.
**Update**
I just checked the Walgreens site to see if these could be shipped, and how much it would cost, and you found out that you check your local stores to see if products were available.
None of these glosses are available at the Walgreens in Fargo according to the site, and when I was in the store I didn’t see several shades that are listed as being in stock in the Moorhead Walgreens.
Several shades are out of stock online as well, but it looks like I can get 2 glosses shipped to me for $19.98 plus $5.49 shipping and handling, so I guess the B1G1 isn’t valid online.
Have you looked for these at your Walgreens?
Are you more or less likely to try stuff that’s free after rebate?
More or less likely to buy something that’s advertised as free after rebate, but is out of stock when you go to purchase it?
I’m definitely getting fed up at going to a store to look for something that’s advertised it, and not finding it at all, or not finding it stocked adequately.

Did you know that you were supposed to toss your lip gloss after 9 months?
I didn’t, and I certainly can’t remember how long I’ve had any of my tubes of lip gloss.
Cargo’s come up with a new Timestrip technology that tells you when it’s time to toss your gloss so you don’t have to worry about sniffing it to see if it’s bad - or worse putting it on, and then realizing that it’s gone rancid.
How disgusting.
I think the new timestrips are pretty useful - I have enough trouble remembering when to toss my contact solution after three months - there’s no way I’ll remember when to throw out my lip gloss after 9 months without a little extra help.
And lets face it - I’ve never used up an entire tube of gloss.
The timestrips are available on Cargo Timestrip blu_ray ($24), and Classic ($22) lip glosses. All you have to do is put the timestrip into the cap and it will let you know when it’s time to toss the gloss.
I haven’t tried either of those glosses, but you can read my Cargo Plantlove Lip Gloss Review if you’d like to see what I think about it.
What do you think about Cargo’s timestrip technology?
Do you think it’s useful?
Do you toss your gloss after a certain amount of time, or wait until it goes bad?

I’ve been using the Straight Making No Frizz Styling Cream off and on for a couple of months, and it does keep the frizzies away - at least as much as anything can when I continue to wear a knit hat every time I go outside.
Hey - it’s cold out here.
I do have to be careful not to use too much, or it makes my blond hair look dirty blond - of course that might be because I have a lot of long, thin hair that I air dry instead of using a blow dryer, so your experiences may be different.
If you’ve tried this I’d love to know what you think.
No Frizz can be bought online at Living Proof, and is scheduled to launch at Sephora 2/15/09, although some Sephora stores have it available now.

I tried samples of Foxy Mineral Makeup Velvet, Radiance, and Airbrush Finishes, $14.25 each.
The velvet finish is a slightly colored finish which gives a matte appearance to foundation.
The Radiance Finish is a slightly shimmery finish, that’s a little darker than the velvet finish, and provides a slight radiant glow.
Even though the finishs had some color to them, they both blended in with my foundation, and the color wasn’t noticeable.
The Radiance only gave a slight shimmer - I know some people are scared of shimmer, but it didn’t look like I had shimmer all over my face - it was just a nice glow.
My favorite of the finishes was the Airbrush Finish.
I had a little trouble at first - the finish is white, and I poured too much out the first time I used it, and I ended up with a white cast on my face.
After I blended it in enough and figured out how much to use, I was very impressed.
I have to admit there were a couple of days when I just used the Airbrush finish with no foundation, and I looked great!
If you’ve tried any of these finishes leave a comment and tell me what you think about them.
If not, do you currently use finishes, veils, or powders with your makeup?

I got the Lypsyl Honey Berry LypMoisturizer a few months ago when it was free after rebate at Walgreens.
The regular price was $3.99.
The tube was a bit bigger than I was used to, so I ended up wearing down the middle of the lip balm slightly, but it wasn’t enough to effect the application of the balm.
I really liked the slide on the side of the tube.
It’s much easier to use that to slide the balm up and down in the tube than it is to try to figure out how to twist a tube of lip balm up and down using both hands while holding the cap and making sure nothing else falls out of my purse.
The LypMoisturizer was very moisturizing, although it did take me a few days to get used to the Honey Berry scent.
It wasn’t overwhelming, but it did smell a little when I first applied it.
Although the lip balm is supposed to have a “fresh, fruity flavor,” I didn’t notice a flavor, which didn’t bother me at all.
Although I wasn’t sure how I’d like a lip balm made with Swedish beeswax, this was a good lip moisturizer, even though it is a bit more expensive than my beloved Cherry Chapstick.
