We’re having a girl.

I am so excited.

I can’t wait to meet her and see what she’ll be like.

Bioinfusion Hydrating Hair Creme and Deep Conditioning Treatment Review

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

I got the Bioinfusion olive oil hydrating hair creme and deep conditioning treatments several months ago when they were free after rebate at Walgreens.

The Bioinfusion hydrating hair creme is advertised as a light weight daily moisturizer for all hair types, and is designed to be applied to the hair from root to tip, and used as a leave in conditioner.

Since my roots are oily, I know not to use any conditioner anywhere near my roots, but the hydrating hair creme was too heavy for my hair even when I just used it as a leave in conditioner on the ends.

Bioinfusion deep conditioning treatment is a designed to “restore essential nutrients, moisturize, and revive damaged hair. It can be applied and worn for 45-60 minutes with a plastic cap, or applied applied for 10-15 minutes if you’re using heat.

I have to admit that I just used left it on for about 3 minutes while I was in the shower.

It was still too much for my hair, but I do think that both would be good deep conditioners for hair that needs a lot of moisture.

Although I got these conditioners at Walgreens, they aren’t currently available on the Walgreens site.

If you’ve tried these conditioners and liked them I’d love to know what you think.

I’d also love to know what your favorite conditioner is - especially if you have fine hair.

Having fun at a going out of business sale

Tuesday, June 16th, 2009

While I was in NC I asked my husband to stop by a Rite Aid going out of business sale - with a big banner that said 90% off, how could I resist?

When we got to the doors and read that the prescriptions were transferred to another store in May, I really didn’t think there would be anything exciting left.

When I saw there were only three aisles of stuff left, and they weren’t even full length aisles, I was prepared for disapointment, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Although there wasn’t much makeup - or much of anything left, I was surprised at how many fair shades of foundation were left.

Usually the fair shades sell out pretty fast, and the only shades that are left were too dark for me.

Of course since I’ve got a ton of mineral foundations left, I didn’t buy any more foundations.

I’ve gotta clear out some room to make room for the baby’s stuff!

I did manage to find a few lipsticks, and a couple of lip liners that actually looked good on me.

That’s usually pretty hard when I’m searching for clearance stuff.

I got:

Covergirl Outlast All Day Lipcolor in Sparkling Wine, which is nice, but very dry without the moisturizing top coat that comes with it.

Prestige lipstick in CL-22A Plum which is also nice.

Max Factor Lipfinity in Glowing Rayonnante, which I haven’t even tried yet.

Styli-Style Line and Seal waterproof lipliner in 1113 Satin Pink, which is a beautiful color, but wears off quickly.

And, a Style-Style Flat lip pencil in 1305 Hamptons, which also is beautiful, and wears off quickly.

All of this and a winter had were only $5.

I have to admit that it was fun to be able to run into a store and buy all the makeup that I wanted without worrying about the price :-) .

I still haven’t worn any of these enough to give a full review, but I’ll get one up as soon as I try them some more.

EZ Combs Review

Friday, June 12th, 2009

I’ve had the EZ Combs for a couple of weeks, and I’m happy with them.

The combs are pretty, and I thought they’d work well for keeping my hair behind my back when the baby starts grabbing for my hair. I also thought they’d work well when I was gardening, but unfortunately my hair is too long to put all of it up with the EZ Combs.

The EZ Combs were easy to use, and they stayed in place well, unless I was playing with it, which I tend to do.

For some reason I always have to touch whatever is in my hair to see if it’s still there :-) .

When I did pull the combs out away from home it was pretty easy to get them back in without a mirror, and without my hair looking very messy.

I did have the combs come loose when I was riding my bike, but I think that had more to do with me pulling a pullover jacket on before I got started than anything else.

I loved that I could actually lean back in the seats when I was in the car, without having the EZ Combs hurt, or come out. When I wear my hair up, I usually can’t lean back into the seat all the way because my barettes, pins, or clips poke me in the head, so it’s nice to be able to wear my hair up or back, and still be comfortable while I’m in the car.

Although my hair is so long that I can’t put it all up in the EZ combs, I don’t think most people will have that problem since most people don’t have mid thigh length hair.

The EZ combs can be purchased online, but I’ve also seen them at Walgreens, and Bed Bath & Beyond.

I’m definitely planning on using mine a lot once my baby starts taking an interest in my hair.

Suave Naturals Ocean Breeze Refreshing Body Wash Review

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

I’m currently on vacation visiting my parents beautiful new house, and they picked up some Suave Naturals Body Wash in the Ocean Breeze Fragrance for us to use.

I don’t think I’ve ever tried Suave’s body washes, but so far I’m really loving it.

The Ocean Breeze is “infused with mineral rich sea algae extract, and skin conditioning Vitamin E.”

I’ve been really impressed that even with the over 90F temperatures and the air conditioner running inside, I haven’t had any dry skin problems.

I’ve been using Dr. Bronners Almond Liquid Soap at home for about 2 months, and even though the temps are just getting into the 70’s and we haven’t had the AC on I’ve had dry legs almost the entire time I’ve been using the soap.

At first I thought it might be a symptom of pregnancy, but after using the Suave I don’t think it is.

The next time I’m looking for a new shower gel, I’ll definitely pick up some Suave Naturals.
