Evelyn Lauder Lip Design Collection

I received the Evelyn Lauder Lip Design Collection, from Estee Lauder, for review a couple of weeks ago, and I can’t tell you how excited I was to see the adorable pink case that it came in.
It takes so little to make me happy :-).
The case looks like a much larger version of a lipstick case, with a magnetic closure, small mirror, and an elastic loop for holding the accompanying lip pencil, or a lip brush.
Although I do have to fiddle with things occasionally to get the case to close, it’s worked well so far, and it looks cute sitting on my bathroom counter.
Now, for what your probably more interested in … the makeup.
The Evelyn Lauder Lip Design Collection comes with a Pure Lip Color in Bois de Rose, a High Gloss in Blush, and an Artist’s Lip Pencil in Spice Writer.
I’ve been very impressed with the collection, although the Artist’s Lip Pencil in Spice Writer is a little too dark for me to wear with the lipstick in the daytime, unless I use a lip primer first.
The Pure Lip Color in Bois de Rose, is a beautiful color, that doesn’t feel dry on my lips.
Even with my constant chapstick applications, the Pure Lip Color leaves a nice pale stain on my lips after it wears off, so I never have to worry about looking like I forgot to put on my lipstick in the morning, or worse, having a ring around my lips where the lipstick wore off.
The High Gloss in Blush is a nice sticky lip gloss, that doesn’t wear off immediately. You can see it, along with the Lip Pencil in the picture above.
The Evelyn Lauder Lip Design Collection is part of Estee Lauder’s Pink Ribbon collection, and proceeds of sales from the Pink Ribbon Collection will help the company donate $500,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
