Mystical Beauty’s Musings

I’ve been wearing Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics since Saturday, and I’m really impressed with them.

I’ve used the Veena Velvet in Light Cool, with and without the Sand Silk Powder, and I honestly like it both ways! The Veena Velvet is not as shiny as my usual Bare Escentuals (BE) mineral powder, and it also has a more matte, less shiny finish than the BE does. I do apply my minerals with a flocked sponge if you’re trying to recreate the same effect I get.

It’s cold and windy here in MN, so I can’t tell you how this will react in the warm weather, but I did wear the foundation, blush and eyeshadow while I was walking on the treadmill, and I didn’t notice any problems with them when I was sweating.

I’ve also used and loved the Chameleon eye shimmer, which is a “sugar plum purple with irredescent green sparkle,” and the Graphite eye shimmer which is a “rich steel gray with slightly blue specks. ” Graphite is very pretty used wet as a liner.

I tried the Veena Velvet Wild Rose Blush, and the Mineral Blush in Neutral Pink, and I really liked the colors.

I filled out the Color/Help questionnaire on the site, and let Kim pick out the colors for me, and she did a great job. I love all of the colors that I got, and they work well with my skin tone.

I love these cosmetics, and I’ll defintely be using them in the future! In fact since I got them on Saturday, the only makeup I’ve used that wasn’t from Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics is mascara and lipstick, and that’s just because I didn’t have theirs.
