Mystical Beauty’s Musings

You can read part 1 at RareMinerals Blemish Therapy Review.

I’ve been using the RareMinerals Blemish Therapy for a little over a week, and although I haven’t noticed a dramatic reduction in the number of pimples or the time it takes for them to heal I’m pleased with the product.

I do think that the large pores on and around my nose are less visible, but it’s really hard to tell for sure.

I still don’t like the smell of the product.

I don’t mind putting it on at night, or in the mornings if I don’t have to go anywhere for a while.

If I do have to leave the house in the morning I’m scared to wear the Blemish Therapy because I don’t want to smell like sulfur all day long.

I haven’t tried this, does it apply like a serum or a loose mineral powder?

I have been having really amazing results with primers and shrinking my pore sizes. Have you used Dr. Brandt’s “No More Pores” yet? I have heard good things about it.

    Thanks! Jen

Hi Jen, thanks for asking that, I can’t believe I forgot to mention that it was a powder.

I haven’t tried Dr. Brandt’s “No More Pores” yet, this is the first product I’ve tried that is supposed to shrink pores, other than silicone primers, which my skin doesn’t like.

What primers are you having results with?

I just wanted to let you know that I have been using the rare minerals blemish therapy and i LOVE it! The size of my pores on my nose have shrunk dramaticaly and as soon as i notice a blemish i apply blemish therapy and it is gone within 24 hours. I didnt start seeing results until about 2 weeks after i began using the product. I aslo use Rare minerals nightime skin revival treatment and love that as well. I think using products from the same line really makes a difference. Bare Escentuals rocks and I will never use any other makeup or skin care!

Elizabeth, I’m glad that rare minerals blemish therapy is working for you.

Do you or your family members notice the odor, or does it not bother you?

I haven’t tried this yet, although I am dying to. I bought a small jar of the Rare Minerals nightime treatment just to try from Ebay. While I didn’t use it regularly, I did see an improvement in my skin the next mornings when I did. I am a big fan of primer. It just smooths out the skin and makes it soft. I use Smashbox photofinish foundation primer light (made for acne prone skin) and love it, although the BE one that comes with the “get started” mineral kit also works nicely.

Hi Stephanie, I haven’t tried the Rare Minerals nighttime treatment, so I’m not sure how it compares to the Blemish Therapy.

I do have a sample of it that I got when I got the Blemish Therapy, so I’ll have to go pull that out and see if it helps!

    Thanks for reminding me.

I’d love to hear how the Blemish Therapy works for you when you try it.

Wow, you make it sound like it reeks. I can tell there is sulfur in it… but it’s very subtle! I just started using this product last night, I hope it does what it’s supposed to. I like it so far.
Love Bare Minerals products, it’s the only makeup I use now.

Welcome Peg - it doesn’t reek, but it’s strong enough that other people can notice it on me, and that makes me feel uncomfortable.

I hope it works for you, and I’d love to hear about your experiences with it.
