I was fortunate enough to receive some Body Butters from Burning Tree Creations to review about 2 weeks ago, and I’ve been using them every since.
I was a little surprised when I opened the jars of body butter, and saw a rosebud in the Rosewood Body Butter (you can see it in the picture) and a tiny orange peel and what looks like 2 small pieces of cinnamon bark and part of a vanilla bean in the Vanilla Orange Spice Body Butter.
I think the addition of the rose and spices makes a beautiful presentation, and I think it makes the body butters feel more decadent.
I also received an Unscented Body Butter - if you’ve been reading for a while you probably know that I don’t like it when the scent of my lotions or body butters interfere with the taste of my coffee! The unscented lotion really didn’t have a scent at all, and I was very happy with it.
I also found myself using it when I wanted to wear perfume and I didn’t want anything interfere with the scent of the perfume.
The Holiday Memories Gift Set was a fabulous surprise. The 4 body butters I received came in their own litlte box, with red and green crinkled paper at the bottom.
I didn’t think that the Candy Cane Body Butter smelled exactly like candy canes at first, but looking back I think that it was probably because I already had on the Vanilla Orange Spice Body Butter. Now when I use the Candy Cane I’m amazed at how much it smells like a candy cane.
In addition to the Candy Cane Body Butter the Holiday Memories Gift Set contains Pumpkin Pie Spice, Eggnog, and Evergreen body butters.
All of the body butters I tried smelled true to scent, and I find myself bypassing other lotions and body butters that might be nearer to me to use these.
The Vanilla Orange Spice is definitely my favorite - and it doesn’t interfere with the taste of my coffee when I drink it either.
The scent of the body butter is light, and it does linger for a while.
I found myself cuddling with Scooby at the end of one day, wondering why his head smelled like oranges, and I realized that it must have been a lingering scent from when I petted him earlier in the day while I had the Vanilla Orange Spice Body Butter on.
Burning Tree Creations Body Butters are thicker than most body butters that I’ve tried, but they are very easy to get out of the jar. I just scoop a bit out with the back of my fingernail, and apply as needed.
The butters are nice and moisturizing, without being greasy after they are applied. I love that I can go on about my business without letting the body butters soak in after I apply them.
These are definitely keepers.
Burning Tree Creations only uses natural products, and makes each product by hand . The jars and the labels can also be recycled.
If you’re interested in purchasing a Christmas gift you better hurry up - orders placed after December 15 aren’t guaranteed to arrive before Christmas Day.
