I’ve been using Dr. Bronner’s Magic Almond Organic Liquid Soap for about three months now, and I have to say I wasn’t impressed at first.
I chose the soap because I wanted something without parabens in it, it smelled good, and I’ve always heard good things about Dr. Bronner’s magic soaps, so I was really surprised when I started using it and started getting dry, itchy skin.
At first I thought it was due to pregnancy, but when I switched back to my usual soaps, I didn’t have the problem.
About a month ago, I read that if the soap causes your skin to dry out you should dilute it with water, and since I’ve done that I haven’t had any more trouble with dry itchy skin.
I bought the 32 oz bottle from Target for about $14 or $16, I really can’t remember.
I definitely could have gone with a smaller bottle.
Even before I started diluting it I was hardly using any of the soap, so I’m sure this bottle will last me a couple of years at the rate I’m using it.
Now that I’ve learned to dilute the soap, I’m very happy with it.
I love the scent, it lathers well, both when it’s diluted, and when it isn’t, and it leaves me feeling clean.
Although this is a magic all in one soap, I’ve only used it as a body wash, so if you’ve used it in another way I’d love to hear about it.

Wow. This product is so versatile! Although, I would only use it as body soap. And, I must admit I was apprehensive at first – I thought the quality of the soap might have been sacrificed for the political statement it represents. The advertising for the product (the bottle itself) says less about the contents and focuses, instead, on radical notions of well-being. I am glad I tried it. This truly is my favorite body-wash, it offers me a rich lather and the scents are refreshing!

Hi Ladybird, my husband wasn’t too impressed with the bottle either.
I’ve only used this as a bodywash/hand soap, but I might try some of it’s other uses later. I know some people use it as a solution for cloth wet wipes, and I might try that when the baby is older.
I haven’t been using this at all since I found Eucerin’s calming body oil. I love that I don’t have to apply lotion a million times after I use that.
I kind of wish I hadn’t bought such a huge bottle now though.
