Brass knuckles? At SJC?

Friday, August 12th, 2005

Brass knuckle inspired jewelry? At the Silver Jewelry Club? They are getting kind of wild these days. Lots of mother of pearl jewelry, onxy, bracelets, ankle bracelets…but I’m still suprised at the “brass knuckle inspired” rings.

Here’s how they describe it.

Zappos

Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005

Interesting, I just received email notification that my zappo’s order had been upgraded to one day shipping. Now this is very exciting since I have already gotten the shoes, and since I accidentally requested that they mail me the return slip, they’ve already mailed that to me and I finally sent them back yesterday. The email was dated July 24, and I literally just got it. I also just got the order comfirmation at the same time. Odd. In addition to this I just got the notification that the email I sent on July 25th was received, and that it should be answered within 4 hours. Of course, I got that more than 4 hours ago, and I still haven’t recieved a response. Not that it matters since I already shipped the shoes back.

Interesting. I like zappo’s but it is wierd that it took them so long to send me the emails. And the guy treated me like I was dumb when I called about the confirmation. They had it listed that the shoes that I just ordered had arrived in December, and I wanted to make sure it would not affect my return. I guess that problem was probably tied in with all of the other stuff.

Hmm, I don’t know if this would change my opinion of them. It would if it was anyone else. Of course I know that I need to try on shoes first, so I probably won’t be ordering from them unless it is something that I have tried somewhere else.

I’m still looking for some boots and some tennis shoes :-)

Zappos and radios

Tuesday, July 26th, 2005

Well, I finally decided to order some boots from zappos…who knows why, since I can never find any shoes that fit me in the store. Of course they didn’t fit :-( they were gorgeous though. I guess I’ll get to see how well their return policy works.

Fun, fun.

I’ve taken to listening to conference call and business radio stuff at work. Some of it is actually very interesting. Which is amazing to me since I hate talk radio. I’ve been listening to Dani Johnson, at danijohnson.com, wahm talk radio, and direct sales talk radio. So far most of the stuff has been very useful. I’m hoping to find some more exciting stuff later. I tried today, but I was having trouble with music match jukebox, the stuff would download, but I couldn’t hear it, or it would stop after 5 minutes, which is really annoying when you can’t fastforward, and have to listen to the same stuff over and over again. The error message on the jukebox thing kept saying to uninstall it, then reinstall it, and when I uninstalled it, everything worked fine, so I just left it uninstalled. Oops.

Hair Sticks!

Thursday, July 14th, 2005

I got some chopsticks a few weeks ago, while I was the local Asian Festival (mmm, I also had my first chai! It was so delicious). My husband looked at me a little funny when I told him I wanted to use them for my hair, but let it slide. We spent forever looking at them, so that I could get two that were pretty even (they were handmade out of wood). These really work. I haven’t been out jogging or anything, but they are great for keeping my hair up while I’m at home. Especially since my sweet little puppy ate my hair clip, and I haven’t gotten a new one yet. I’ve tried hairsticks before-mostly plastic ones, my favorite of which are blue swirly hairsticks with butterflies on top. The other hair sticks never stayed in or help up my hair, so I am really suprised that the chopsticks are working all by themselves…I just twist my hair up, weave the chopsticks in and go. Sometimes I’ve had to put it up after a few hours, but it’s not bad. I’m still drooling over these though Longlocks Hairstick Boutique. Maybe one day I’ll find some I love that aren’t sold already! They go fast.

New stuff at the silver jewelry club

The Silver Jewelry club
Run it’s so cute! They are small heart shaped earrings with coral dangles at the middle and end of a silver chain. The coral looks red to me though.

If I weren’t so worried about being allergic…and not having anything to wear with the red I’d get them.
